Sarojini Naidu was an Indian Politician and Poet. She played an important and vital role in India’s freedom movement. Sarojini Naidu was born on 13th February, 1879 and died on 2 March 1949. Her father Aghoranth Chattopadhyaya was a scientist and the founder of Nizam College in Hyderabad. Her name was Sarojini Chattopadhyay, she married with Govindarajulu Naidu, a general physician in 1898. She was very keen and fond of writing from a very early age at 12. Her collection of poems ‘The Broken Wings’ was published in 1905.
